League Gives Guerrero Suspension Saturday, April 15th, 2023 It got ugly on the field today in the Border Cats and Brass game, when Pancho Guerrero was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. Before he left the dugout area, Guerrero threw a few bats and a garbage can on the field toward home plate. League officials thought the Columbus right fielder went too far and gave him a 4-game suspension. "Sometimes your emotions get the better of you and you just sort of lose control," Guerrero told reporters, "but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just out of control." This year Guerrero is hitting at a .250 pace with no home runs and 1 RBIs. He has played in 6 games and scored 5 times. |
