Player of the Week: Oklahoma's Walter Monday, August 28th, 2023 Veteran Cory Walter had a great week at the plate for the Fisher Cats to capture the majority of votes for Player of the Week in the American Conference. The 35-year-old Oklahoma first baseman built a .440 average on the strength of 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. This season Walter is swinging the bat at a .281 rate with 126 hits in 449 at-bats. To date he has hit 27 home runs, scored 73 runs and driven in 79. |
