Quakers, Dukes Swap Players Sunday, July 30th, 2023 The Quakers and Dukes announced a deal that was completed today. Philadelphia sent 30-year-old first baseman Luke Brown, 19-year-old minor league center fielder Will Taylor and $3,000,000 in cash to New Orleans for 33-year-old catcher Francisco Sánchez. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for the both teams and the players. This year Brown has hit at a .243 pace and produced 41 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 43 runs. So far this year in 59 games Sánchez is hitting .190 with no home runs, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
