Wolverines Méndez Smacks 6 Hits Sunday, August 27th, 2023 Mariano Méndez was on fire today and sparked his club to a 11-2 victory over the Quakers. The Omaha first baseman was a tough out and went 6 for 6 against Philadelphia in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in." Mariano Méndez doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Méndez is hitting .349 with 32 home runs. |
