Tate Hurt After Punching Locker Monday, September 11th, 2023 After suffering through yet another heartbreaking loss, Atlanta reliever Ken Tate took his frustration out in the clubhouse. At first, Tate expressed his rage by shouting loudly and overturning a water cooler. However, the tantrum took a particularly ugly turn when Tate decided to take his anger out on his locker. "He unleashed a couple swift jabs to the metal door, then I saw him clutching his hand and wincing," said teammate Frank Mathews. "I knew right then he'd hurt himself pretty bad." X-rays confirmed that Tate had in fact fractured his hand. "He's gonna be out for at least a month," said manager Bernardo Rivera. "He really needs to learn to control his anger. Not having him available is gonna be a major setback for our team." The team will explore free agent and trade options, but may be forced to fill Tate's position internally. |
