Diplomats Chill Martínez's Hot Streak Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 Lady Luck was not on the side of Eduardo Martínez or his teammates today at Memphis Park. Everything went the Washington D.C. Diplomats way. They not only came away with a 9-4 victory, but also held Martínez hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to the catcher's 22-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Martínez said afterward. "But it'd be much easier to take right now if we had won." This season Martínez has 20 home runs and a .305 batting average. |
