Martínez, Ortíz Suspended for Fracas Monday, September 25th, 2023 Rafael Martínez of the Los Angeles Gargoyles and Lorenzo Ortíz of the Las Vegas Renegades got into a wrestling match yesterday at Ballpark of Los Angeles and now must pay the consequences for violating league rules. They have both been assessed 8-game suspensions by the league for inciting the heated altercation between the two clubs. Martínez is batting at a .303 pace this season, picking up 165 hits in 544 at-bats with 25 home runs, 88 RBIs and 78 runs scored. On the season Ortíz has compiled a 10-10 mark with a 4.76 ERA in 32 starts. In pitching 187 innings he has 113 strikeouts and 57 walks while limiting the opposition to a .291 batting average. |
