Bad News for Cubans, Abrams Injured Sunday, October 1st, 2023 The Havana Cubans were dealt a severe blow when Neil Abrams was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Miami Banditos. After the game, the team trainer reported Abrams might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 27-year-old shortstop out for the rest of the season with a hamstring strain. They indicated it would take Abrams at least 6 weeks to heal. This year Abrams has 3 home runs and a .337 batting average. |
