Portland, Las Vegas Make Deal Saturday, December 16th, 2023 Both sides appear content with the trade finalized today that will send 29-year-old RHP Juan Garza to the Las Vegas Renegades, while the Portland Fog Devils will receive 20-year-old minor league LHP Dewey Singleton and 24-year-old minor league C Jorge Ruíz. "This is a move that filled a few gaps in our roster," said the Fog Devils general manager. For his part, the Renegades GM said the trade was made "in the best interest of our organization's future." BNN analysts reported that on paper the trade seemed to be a plus for both ball clubs. The players involved are expected to join their new teams for the next scheduled game. Garza has made 70 appearances in his career, putting up a 3-4 record. He has tossed 118.2 innings and struck out 115. Batters have hit .258 against him, his lifetime ERA stands at 4.32 and he has 1 save. |
