Harris Goes on Rampage Against Grays Monday, August 21st, 2023 No matter what the Birmingham Grays threw at him today, Jack Harris hit it. He easily handled Grays pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Hill Cats to a 4-3 triumph at Hill Cats Ballpark. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Birmingham skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Jack Harris singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this season in 76 games Harris is batting .233 with 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 47 hits in 202 at-bats. |
