Career Finished, Howard Suffers Setback in Rehab Friday, August 18th, 2023 Inland Empire Jigsaws reliever Cy Howard was forced to make the hard decision to call it quits today after suffering a serious setback in his rehabilitation. Howard told reporters, "I hoped that I would be able to come back from this injury, but it's not looking like that will be the case anymore. It's looking more and more like I will have to retire from baseball." So far this year Howard has been credited with no saves, registered a 7.04 ERA and struck out 10 in 7.2 innings. He also has a 1-0 record. |
