Tampa CF Will Miss 3 Games, Suspended by League Friday, August 25th, 2023 The league office has taken action against Tampa center fielder Sixto Quintana for inappropriate action and aggressive conduct in the Ospreys game against the Clearwater Evaders. He has been issued a 3-game suspension. Quintana was ejected from the game yesterday after arguing a called third strike. He first argued with the plate umpire. Then Quintana moved up the first-base line, waving his fists at the umpire as the dispute continued. As he left the field, he also argued with the crew chief, who was umpiring at third base. His manager finally convinced him to leave the field as the umpires were threatening to forfeit the game. This season Quintana is batting .198 with 1 home run. |
