Great Day for Crosby -- 5 Hits Thursday, August 24th, 2023 Barrett Crosby put on a hitting clinic today as the Old Smoke dumped the Monarchs 14-7 at Burlington Grounds. The Ashland left fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Papillion pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Barrett Crosby hit a two-run home run off Jesse Irvin in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. |
