2010 World Series MVP: Montreal v. Miami

The 2010 Stroh's World Series MVP Award goes to....

3B GARY WATSON, MON. Round of Applause.

Watson was solid for most of the World Series, hitting .286, 3 R, 1 HR, 2 2bs, 4 rbi, and throughout the entire postseason. However, this Award was won for one moment, the HR that defeated the Banditos' World Series hopes. With the Banditos coming off two consecutive wins to tie the series up 2-2, momentum was quickly shifting away from Montreal. That continued in Game 5 as David "DB" Marshall was cruising through 6 innings with a 3-0 lead. In the 7th IP the game got hairy as leadoff hitter Eddie Anderson reached base on a Perea error, followed by a BB to Todd Lister, and then a HBP on Curt Dickerson. Bases were loaded for Gary Watson and on an 0-1 count he launched a Grand Slam off of Marshall to take the Knights up 4-3. Montreal would win Game 5 and Watson would earn Player of the Game. Miami was never able to recover and Montreal went on to win the World Series in six. Stroh's would like to reward Watson with our new line of Non-Alcoholic beer, in fact it's a lifetime supply.

2010 NLCS MVP: Miami v. Pittsburgh

The 2010 Stroh's NLCS MVP Award goes to....

SP ALLEN ANDERSON, MIA.  Round of Applause!!

Anderson wins the rare follow up Award to his NLDS MVP, but was undeniably excellent versus Pittsburgh. Anderson pitched in Game 2 and was the Player of the Game in Game 6, earning the Win in both. He totaled 14.0 IP, 2 Wins, and 1 ER (including the World Series Anderson would put up a 5-0, 1.35 ERA in postseason, winning every start he made). Very close on his heels for the MVP were Hector Perea who hit .407, 5 R, 8 RBI, 1 HR, and Millard Hammond who hit .360, 5 R, 10 RBI, 2 HR. Both players hit in every single game of the series. Two consecutive MVPs means lots of free ICE COLD Stroh's, don't imbibe so much you can't shoot your Banditos revolver.

2010 ALCS MVP: Montreal v. Omaha

The 2010 Stroh's ALCS MVP Award goes to....

LF MIKE FARR, MON. Round of Applause!

Typical of their whole season, Montreal was excellent at spreading the offense around in their lineup. When the top of the order was down then the bottom picked up and so on. Therefore, no player stood out with great distinction in this incredible series versus Omaha yet all rose to the occassion and did their duty. Leadoff hitter Paul Farr really sparked the offense at the top and was by far and away the leading run producer for the Knights. Through the series he hit .296, 3 2b's, 1 HR, 5 runs, and 10 rbi. More importantly, he won the Player of the Game in Game 2, Montreal's first win in the series. Farr hit a crucial 3 run HR in the 6th inning to give Montreal the lead and eventually the victory. Tonight, Knight, enjoying jousting with this pint of cold ass Stroh's and good luck in the World Series.

2010 NLDS MVP: Pittsburgh v. El Paso

The 2010 Stroh's NLDS MVP Award goes to....

1B PEDRO ROMAN, PIT. Round of Applause!

Wow, what a series with plenty of drama, especially in Game 1 and clinching Game 6 where Roman won Player of the Game in both. In Game 1 Roman hit a GRAND SLAM to win it all in the bottom of the 10th 10-6. In Game 6 Roman hit a 2 run shot in the bottom of the 6th to take Pitt up 3-1 and then hit a 2 run single in the bottom of the 8th to rally Pitt back to a tie game by the end of the inning. In between Games 1 and 6 he was deadly as well. Roman batted .360, 3 HR, 13 rbi, and 4 runs! In only 1 Game, Game 3, did he not make an impact with an 0-fer all around. His buddy Desmond Irvin could also make a case for MVP with his own amazing stat line and heroics, including the game winning shot in the bottom of the 10th in Game 6. However, Roman was just too clutch and too consistent to be denied. Way to go in making Pedro Roman a household name, enjoy your Stroh's.

2010 NLDS MVP: Miami v. Dallas

The 2010 Stroh's NLDS MVP Award goes to....

SP ALLEN ANDERSON, MIA. Round of Applause!!!

The storyline of this series was the anemic offense of the Dallas Brahmas who after scoring 8 runs in Game 1 went on to score 5 runs in the remaining 4 games. Much of that can be credited to Miami's rotation and bullpen but Allen Anderson sticks out with 2 wins and the Player of the Game in Game 2. Anderson totaled 12.2 IP, 4 ER, and 10 K's, proving that his first full season was no fluke. Don't let your initials AA stop you from enjoying this complimentary Stroh's Keg, Allen boy.

2010 ALDS MVP: Omaha v. Boston

The 2010 Stroh's ALDS MVP Award goes to....

2B CHRISTIAN KENNEDY, OMA. Round of Applause

The sweep of Boston by Omaha is probably due more the rotation of Omaha than any one particular player. However, Kennedy performed admirably throughout the series and came up with a huge game winning single in the bottom of the 10th of Game 2. Kennedy totaled 7 hits, 2 runs, and 2 rbi as well, getting at least 2 hits in every game but Game 4. Welcome yourself back to Omaha with a golden shower of Stroh's Christian.

DH/OF PAUL OWENS, MON. Round of Applause!

Surprising tidbit about the whole series: Despite winning the series 4-2, Montreal was only able to pick up 2 of the 6 available Player of the Games. In fact, an LA player picked up both Game 1 and Game 2 POG even in defeat. The young Paul Owens was able to pick up the all important clinching Game 6 Player of the Game with a 3-5, 2 run, 2 rbi performance. Owens spent most of 2010 in AA and only played 23 games in Montreal before making the post season cut. What an addition he has been, batting .400, 1 HR, 5 rbi, and most importantly being an on base run creator with 6 runs in 4 games and several walks while batting 2nd for the Knights. Drink thyself a Stroh's this night, Lord Owens of WalkALot.
