2013 World Series MVP: New York v. San Francisco

The 2013 Stroh's World Series MVP Award goes to....

Several players played quite well in New York's 4 game sweep of San Francisco but none more so than All Star Ismael Martinez who captured 2 of the 4 Player of the Game Awards. In Game 1 Martinez went 1-4, 1 R, 2 RBI with a 2 run HR in the 5th that finished off SF 4-3. Martinez followed up in Game 2 with another big HR, going 2-4 with 3 runs and 1 RBI! Martinez and the whole NY offense let SP Carlos Costello finish SF 1-0 in Game 3. Finally in Game 4, Martinez lit up the scoreboard with a Grand Slam HR! He finished that game 3-4, 1 R, 4 RBI and, of course, with the Player of the Game. Martinez's dominant performance won't be forgotten in New York as it will live on in legend. 2013 will forever be known as the year Zach Wright and Ismael Martinez took the Five Point offense to the World Series and won it.
