NY's 4 game sweep of Portland doesn't give much of a time span for anybody to put up extraordinary production but nonetheless, it was clearly Wright's Award. Wright impacted all 4 of the games for a total of 7-15, .467, 3 runs, 4 RBI, and 2 HR. He was 2-3, 2-4, 1-4, 2-4 in the games of the series. Zack Wright's ability to step up in the 3 hole and produce runs was probably the decisive factor in New York defeating one of baseball's best pitching staffs. Wright stymied the Fog Devils and now he can afford to stymie himself for a night with this case of Stroh's 40 ouncers.
